General Secretary of BAISIS, Caroline Nixon, represented the independent schools sector at the All Party Parliamentary Group for International Students which met in the House of Commons on Tuesday 11th September. The APPG was chaired by Nicky Morgan MP and Lord Tim Clement-Jones and Paul Blomfield MP were also on the panel for two sessions. The first session received oral evidence from international students on the impact that their education in the UK had had on their lives subsequently and how the UK could be seen as a more welcoming country for international students. The second session received evidence on the challenges and opportunities that UK communities face in integrating international students.
