St Joseph’s College is delighted to welcome applications for the post of EAL Specialist. We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, committed and well organised individuals who will support our international students with intensive teaching of Academic English to facilitate their access to our mainstream curriculum and their induction into British Boarding School Culture. The curriculum delivery may sit outside of the traditional school timetable.
As an EAL (English as an Additional Language) Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to learners both in online and face-to-face settings. Whilst most of your teaching will be delivered on site and face to face, some of your teaching may well be delivered online to our international partner schools, this will require some flexibility regarding starting hours. Above all, irrespective as to delivery, your role is to create engaging lessons that cater to students’ language proficiency levels and facilitate their language development effectively.
