EAL / ESOL Tutors for Young People who require support in learning English as an Additional Language required in your area.

We are looking for EAL / ESOL Tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. At Teaching Personnel our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of Support Specialists. This role is perfect for EAL / ESOL teachers who are eager to work with children and Secondary students with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic and trauma-informed manner to raise their engagement and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

The role is to work in a popular Secondary school in NN8, Wellingborough with key stages 3 and 4, on a 1-1 basis or with small groups up to 8 students! All children come from different languages backgrounds and already have little knowledge of English.

EAL / ESOL Tutor Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Planning each session of tutoring / mentoring
  • Providing the young person with holistic and engaging sessions which meet their needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on the young person’s progress

EAL / ESOL Requirements

  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (for e.g. CELTA, TEFL, TESOL)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with EAL
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
