Job type: Full Time, Fixed Term

Start date: August 2024

Do you see education and learning as a way of life rather than just a job? Are you a ‘risk-taker’ with a healthy balance between purposeful intensity and a good sense of humour? If so, then St Gilgen International School is looking to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of EAL for August 2024 to contribute to the future growth of our amazing school.

The successful candidate will be an excellent and innovative practitioner with a passion for teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) across the full school age range. Experience working within an International Baccalaureate (IB) environment would be advantageous. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to all aspects of learning within our 24/7 boarding school environment, including co-curricular activities, student mentoring and boarding house care; this does include some evening and weekend commitments.

St. Gilgen International School (StGIS) was founded in 2008 as a co-educational boarding and day school for students aged 9 to 18. In May 2016, ownership of the school passed to a not-for-profit foundation of parents of the school community (Privatstiftung). This ownership model harnesses our unique community spirit and drives us to work together in a continued effort to improve and grow. As we emerge from the pandemic, and a cycle of whole-school accreditation (CIS/WASC) and evaluation (IBDP and MYP), we are embarking on our next chapter; going from strong to stronger. If you want to be part of this journey, and work at a school that is friendly and purposeful; one which aspires to HIGH STANDARDS in a low threat atmosphere of collaboration and mutual support, then please review the attached information and submit your tailored application as detailed below.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

As a passionate community we inspire our students to discover their strengths and develop a lifelong love of learning so they can make a positive impact in this world. We do this by offering excellence in care, education, and activities.

Every child has talent and StGIS will develop it.

Excellence | Integrity | Passion
