Owusu-Asare, a Ghanaian computer science and physics graduate from Grinnell College, met his future business partner, Ameer Shujjah of Pakistan, during international student orientation. After working at Goldman Sachs, Owusu-Asare became CTO at Esusu, experiencing firsthand the challenges of global payments. Recognizing a market need, they founded Cadana in 2021, simplifying global payments for businesses across Africa, Latin America, and Asia, saving workers millions in fees and processing over $150 million since launch.
