What information do we collect from website users?

What information do we collect from members and partners?
BAISIS Ltd holds the work email addresses of key personnel in its member schools and supporting member organisations. This information is kept in order to maintain membership and to administer activities for the benefit of members. This information is retained only while a school or organisation is a member of BAISIS.
The BAISIS Executive Officer is responsible for the secure storage and remote back up of personal information. It is our policy not to store / transfer personal information on USB sticks.
How do we use this information, and what is the legal basis for its use?
We share this information with our member schools, supporting members and partner organisations in order to develop networking opportunities, which is one of our key activities. This information is shared through group email communications, the members’ area of the BAISIS website (which is password protected) and the list of delegates to the BAISIS conference.
We also use this information to send subscription invoices and provide details of services, events and resources that we believe will be of interest to our members.
From time to time we receive requests from third party organisations within the international education sector for the contact details of our members. Members’ permission is sought on each occasion before this information is shared with any third party. We never sell personal information to third parties.
In using data for these purposes, we rely on the need to conduct our business activities and pursue our legitimate interests as well as the right to monitor the use of our website. We may also use members’ information to help us monitor, improve and protect our resources, content, services and website.
What rights do I have?
