Demand for international secondary school education in the top five worldwide destinations is characterised by heavy dependence on China across the board.

The USA remains the most popular destination for secondary study among the top five, followed by Canada and the UK.

China remained the largest source of students in all five destinations, and Korea was in the top five source countries in four of the five destinations, while Vietnam, Japan and Germany made the top five in three.

Across the five study destinations, the top five source markets included a total of just 11 countries, suggesting that schools remain vulnerable to economic trends in leading markets – especially China.
