The role

Benenden School, one of the leading independent schools in the world, is seeking a new Head of Admissions to deliver the School’s ambitious recruitment targets.

Interest in Benenden is booming and our new Head of Admissions will be leading our Admissions Team to meet the School’s objectives at an exciting time in Benenden’s history.

Leading a three-strong Admissions team and working closely with colleagues in Marketing, the successful candidate will bring energy, ideas and strategic thinking to ensure we deliver an outstanding customer experience at every step of the admissions journey.

This is an especially exciting time to be joining Benenden. Not only is Benenden continuing to grow its position at the forefront of single sex education, but it has also recently expanded its family of schools by bringing Orwell Park Prep School into the Benenden group.

Our new Head of Admissions will be focused on strategy and external engagement activity to drive future student recruitment. This will include liaising with feeder schools and attending school fairs both in the UK and overseas.

About you

This position will suit either a current independent school Head of Admissions or an experienced admissions practitioner looking to take the next step into a leadership position. Most importantly, they will be a natural people person who thrives on being Benenden’s external representative.

Proven experience leading a high-performing team, delivering exemplary service across the full customer journey is essential, together with a strong track record of winning new customers. The successful candidate will also demonstrate knowledge of the ISEB Common Pre-Test and a sound understanding of independent school admissions processes.
