Course Outline:
BSA and BAISIS have launched a training programme of five one-hour webinars designed to support educational agents in supporting their families better, grow their reputation and ensure every student thrives in their new school.
This series can be accessed as individual sessions – remember BSA certified agents get two free training courses per year – or as a package.
The Maintaining professional reputation webinar will offer suggestions, based on engagement with certified agents and member schools on developing and maintaining a strong professional reputation, built on child-focused placements, trust and transparency.
The educational agent market is broad, not just geographically and this webinar will speak to what families and schools are looking for in successful, lasting partnerships that benefit everyone through focus on the children first.
Training topics will include:
- Families – managing expectations, avoiding conflicts of interest, transparency
- Schools – building trust, working with different schools, avoiding conflicts of interest, commission transparency
- Effective communication – cultural sensitivity, translation (language and systems), crisis response
- Maintaining long-term relationships – follow up care, appropriate re-placement and transition.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Improved understanding on what schools and families highlight as important in positive agent relationships.
