BSA and BAISIS have launched a training programme of five one-hour webinars designed to support educational agents in supporting their families better, grow their reputation and ensure every student thrives in their new school. This series can be accessed as individual sessions – remember BSA certified agents get two free training courses per year – or as a package.
The Getting under the skin of UK Schools webinar will provide clear and current information on the UK school market including different school and boarding types, age grouping and academic stages, exams and qualifications and links to higher education. The UK market will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner to support agents in their explanations to families.
Training topics will include:
- Age group placements, year group equivalents and transition periods
- GCSE, A level, IB, BTEC and other qualifications
- Links to higher education
- Types of UK school
- Types of boarding.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Current and clear understanding on the UK school system, particularly independent and boarding schools
- Increased confidence in explaining the system to families exploring a UK education.
