Canford School, one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools, is seeking an outstanding Head of Admissions to lead our busy and high performing Admissions team.
Set within 250 acres of stunning parkland and recently recognised as the Top Co-Ed Boarding and Day School in the South West (Sunday Times Parent Power 2025), Canford is entering an exciting new chapter. With our new Head joining in September 2025, the opening of our new Sixth Form College, and the formation of the Canford Schools Group following our merger with Dumpton School, this is a pivotal moment to play a key role in shaping our future.
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, the Head of Admissions will drive all aspects of pupil recruitment from first enquiry through to enrolment, ensuring every prospective family receives a first-class, personalised experience. Alongside leading the UK admissions journey, the post holder will play an important role in supporting the School’s international growth strategy, managing overseas enquiries and relationships, and representing Canford at relevant events and fairs where required.
You will lead and inspire the Admissions team, oversee highly efficient processes, and work collaboratively across the School and with feeder schools to deliver against strategic recruitment goals.
We are looking for an experienced admissions leader with excellent knowledge of the independent schools sector, exceptional communication skills and a warm, professional manner. You will combine operational rigour with a genuine commitment to outstanding service and will thrive in a dynamic, forward thinking environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, relationship driven professional to make a significant impact at a school with ambition, purpose and heart.
