Course Outline:

This comprehensive webinar will address the unique challenges and potential vulnerabilities faced by EAL students in the context of safeguarding and will provide valuable insights and practical strategies to ensure their safety and wellbeing. We all want to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all our students so understanding the specific safeguarding needs of EAL students and learning how to work collaboratively to achieve this goal is essential for all practitioners working with EAL students.

Tom Hadcroft, Deputy School Director, Aiglon College

Tom Hadcroft is currently serving as a Deputy School Director at Aiglon College in Switzerland (since April 2025). His primary focus in this role is on boarding, wellbeing and safeguarding.

Prior to this appointment, he was the Headmaster of Berkhamsted Boys School in the UK, and before that, the Senior Deputy Head at DLD College London, focusing on pastoral and boarding issues. Hadcroft’s expertise extends to being an International School Accreditor for CIS and a course tutor for the Boarding Schools’ Association. He is also a Mental Health First Aid Youth instructor and holds an MEd in Educational Leadership.
