Do you have experience in supporting children with additional needs? Are you seeking your next role within education? Empowering Learning are delighted to be supporting a school in the NG5 (Arnold) area who are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis.
The role is full time and the contract will begin as soon as possible. The role will begin in November 6th
The school is based a 5 minute drive outside of the city centre and the hours of work will be 08:30 – 15:30.
The School Are Looking For Someone Who
- Holds at least one years experience working in a school environment
- Can speak either Dari or Persian
- Can easily build relationships with children who struggle to engage in class
- Has a TA qualification or a relevant degree
- Will work effectively as a team player
- Has a sound understanding of the KS1 curriculum’s
The Main Duties Within The Role Will Be
- Leading academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis who present with a range of needs
- Working closely with children who present with autism
- Liaising with the class teacher and SENCO around progress of the children
- Following the targets set on children’s educational health care plans
- Supporting the teaching and learning within the classroom
